Thank you so much for your interest in the 2023 Tribute to Women Awards. We are thrilled to join you in celebrating and honoring women leaders in your organization. Below are key dates, nominating criteria, and overview of nomination form questions for each category.
Key dates
The Awards ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, May 11, 2023
Early Bird Deadline for nominations is December 20, 2022, Honoree Package Fee (per Honoree): $4,000*
The (extended) Final Deadline for nominations is February 8, 2023, Honoree Package Fee (per Honoree): $5,000*
*Nonprofit/Government Agency Fee reduced to $3,500 per Honoree.

Category: Tribute to Women Awards
General Nominating Criteria
- Organization must have a presence in the Bay Area
- Only one individual per team/division/business unit may be submitted for consideration; up to four women per organization, per year may be chosen
- Nominator must be the highest-ranking leader of the team, division, business unit, or organization/company
- A board member or equivalent may nominate a CEO
Tribute Awards Nominee Criteria
- Nominee works primarily in Bay Area or Nominee work has primary impact in Bay Area
- Position: Performs in a leadership role (project, team, department, division, organization)
- Leadership and Impact: Nominees will be evaluated on their leadership and impact within their organization, industry, as well as their communities
Overview of Questions for Tribute to Women Nomination
- Name, Title and Email of who is being nominated (nominee).
- A brief statement on why you are nominating this person for YWCA’s Tribute to Women Awards. Please describe nominee’s impact on the company and feel free to include both workplace success and community success (500 words or less)
- What differentiates the nominee from others in their field? (350 words or less)
- Please include anything else you want us to know? For example, any awards/affiliations/volunteer work/other accolades
Category: Emerging Leader
General Nominating Criteria
- Organization must have a presence in Bay Area
- One individual per team/division/business unit may be submitted for consideration; only one Emerging Leader will be chosen per organization
- Nominator must be the highest-ranking leader of the team, division, business unit or organization/company
Emerging Leader Nominee Criteria
- Less than five years in profession (early in career)
- Nominee works primarily in Bay Area or Nominee work has primary impact in Bay Area
- Nominee shows leadership capabilities and/or innovation
Overview of Questions for Tribute to Women Nomination
- Name, Title and Email of who is being nominated (nominee)
- A brief statement on why you are nominating this person for YWCA’s Tribute to Women Awards. Please describe nominee’s impact on the company and feel free to include both workplace success and community success. (500 words or less)
- What differentiates the nominee as a potential leader compared to others in their field? (350 words or less)
- Please include anything else you want us to know? For example, any awards/affiliations/volunteer work/other accolades
- How many years has the nominee been in the career field?
