For the 40th anniversary of the Tribute to Women Awards, Your YWCA is offering special awards packages to recognize women leaders in your company. By nominating women leaders in your company to receive this award, you’re not only elevating the importance of female leadership in your company, but you’re also joining Your YWCA as a partner in our mission to eliminate racism and empower women. Below you will find the Awards timeline, nomination criteria, and overview of nomination form questions for each category.

TRIBUTE TO WOMEN AWARDS TIMELINE
October 2023 – Nominations open
December 31, 2023 – Early Bird Pricing for Nominations ends*
*Non-profit rate remains $4000 through nomination period ending on Feb 5, 2024
February 5, 2024 – Nominations close, Awards Packages no longer available**

AWARD RULES & CRITERIA FOR EACH CATEGORY
- Nominator must have the authority to confirm payment owed for the award package and will serve as the invoicing point of contact if the nominee is selected for the award
- No limit of number of nominations a company SUBMITS for each category
- Only 5 awards per company to be SELECTED across all 3 categories
- Organization must have a presence in the Bay Area
- Only one individual per team/division/business unit may be submitted for consideration in each category
- Nominees must work primarily in Bay Area or Nominee work has primary impact in Bay Area
- Nominees will be evaluated on their leadership and impact within their organization, industry, as well as their communities
- Nominees should have an area of influence in the organization in at least 1 of the 4 leadership areas:
- Advancing racial justice
- Supporting, mentoring, and empowering young professionals
- Promoting mental health, wellness and/or access to health care
- Advancing diversity, equity and inclusion
TRIBUTE TO WOMEN AWARDS CATEGORIES
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD NOMINATION
$10,000
This award is open for past Tribute to Women Award recipients only and honors a women leader at the end of her career in celebration of her life’s achievements. Only 4 honorees will be selected to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award and the packages for that recipient and the nominating company will include:
- Bronze Sponsorship recognition and assets (see Sponsorship Opportunities page)
- 1 table of ten (10) for Honoree
- Video interview to be played during the program
- Short speaking opportunity upon receipt of the award during the event program
- Invitation to the Tribute to Women Awards Networking Event (March 2024)
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD CRITERIA:
- Nominees must be a past recipient of the Tribute to Women Awards
- Nominees must work primarily in Bay Area or Nominee work has primary impact in Bay Area
- Nominees must serve in a leadership role (project, team, department, division, organization)
- Nominees will be evaluated on their leadership and impact within their organization, industry, as well as their communities
- Nominees should have an area of influence in the organization in at least 1 of the 4 leadership areas:
- Advancing racial justice
- Supporting, mentoring, and empowering young professionals
- Promoting mental health, wellness and/or access to health care
- Advancing diversity, equity and inclusion
TRIBUTE TO WOMEN AWARD NOMINATION
$5000 regular / $4000 early bird & non-profit rate
This award is open to any female leader in your company who meets the criteria listed above and honors a women leader at any point of her career. Only 40 honorees will be selected to receive the Tribute to Women Award and the packages for that recipient and the nominating company will include:
- 1 table of ten (10) for Honoree
- Video interview to be played during the program
- Red Carpet Question on stage award during the event program
- Invitation to the Tribute to Women Awards Networking Event (March 2024)
TRIBUTE TO WOMEN AWARD CRITERIA:
- Nominees must work primarily in Bay Area or Nominee work has primary impact in Bay Area
- Nominees must serve in a leadership role (project, team, department, division, organization)
- Nominees will be evaluated on their leadership and impact within their organization, industry, as well as their communities
- Nominees should have an area of influence in the organization in at least 1 of the 4 leadership areas:
- Advancing racial justice
- Supporting, mentoring, and empowering young professionals
- Promoting mental health, wellness and/or access to health care
- Advancing diversity, equity and inclusion
EMERGING LEADER AWARD NOMINATION
$3000
This award is open to any emerging female leader early in her career who meets the criteria listed above and has POTENTIAL to meet the qualifications of the Tribute to Women awards. These exceptional women are in the first five years of their career overall but show strong evidence of leadership and eventual executive potential. Only 10 honorees will be selected to receive the Emerging Leader Award and award packages for that recipient will include:
- 1 ticket for the honoree + 4 guest tickets
- Video interview to be played during the program
- Invitation to the Tribute to Women Awards Networking Event (March 2024)
EMERGING LEADER AWARD CRITERIA:
- Nominees must work primarily in Bay Area or Nominee work has primary impact in Bay Area
- Nominees must be in the first 5 year of their career, not just in their role or at their company.
- Nominees will be evaluated on their potential to meet the qualifications of the Tribute to Women Awards in the future based on their current leadership and contributions to their organization
- Nominees should have an area of influence in the organization in at least 1 of the 4 leadership areas:
- Advancing racial justice
- Supporting, mentoring, and empowering young professionals
- Promoting mental health, wellness and/or access to health care
- Advancing diversity, equity and inclusion
